About Phoenicia

Phoenicia Glass Works was established in Haifa in 1934, is one of Israel’s oldest companies, manufacturing and distributing glass containers. In 1968, the plant was moved to Yeruham, in the Negev – Israel’s southern region, where it has been successfully operating ever since.

Phoenicia Glass Works is the only Israeli company specializing in the production of a wide range of glass containers for the domestic and international beverage and food industry.

Since 2004, Phoenicia Glass Works is part of the Israel Equity Ltd. Group under the ownership of Mr. Morton Mandel. Phoenicia’s Chairman and CEO is Mr. Amnon Cohen.

The plant currently employs approximately nearly 220 local residents and is a major source of income for the town of Yeruham , neighboring towns such as Dimona, and Bedouins living in the area.

Our furnace features four production lines of glass containers in a variety of models and colors, as well as three bottle sleeving lines, producing bottle sleeves in accordance with customer specifications. The plant produces approximately one million bottles per day.

As a green oriented production plant, recycled cullet makes over half of the raw material Phoenicia uses for the production of glass. Furthermore, emission filtering devices provides advanced technological solutions for treatment of air polluting emissions and sewage.

Phoenicia Glass Works is constantly striving to be innovative, refreshing the variety of its products, improving their quality, while maintaining strict timetables and production according to the highest international standards.

Automated quality assurance equipment, along with the technological and human infrastructure, ensure that Phoenicia Glass Works meets the requirements of local and foreign customers.

Phoenicia Glass Works is ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 22002-4:2013 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certified and holds the Israeli Standard No. 172.
